– 1970s’
Mr. Wang Xiaoting, the CEO of WESTZH Sensor Technology, which is VORTORQ® now, ignited his passion for sensors while working as an engineer at the aerospace research center in central China. In the 1970s, he began pioneering the production of silicon pressure sensors, laying the groundwork for his future innovations. His early work in this field not only showcased his commitment to advancing sensor technology but also set the stage for his subsequent achievements in the industry.
– 1980s’
In 1980, Mr. Wang started his dream of entrepreneurship by visiting England as a research scholar. Ten years after that visit, he set up multiple sensor factories, one of them continuously running until now.
– 1990s’
Mr. Wang became the first engineer to introduce sputtering thin-film pressure sensors to the Chinese market, marking a groundbreaking advancement in the high-end pressure sensor industry at the time. This innovative technology represented a significant leap forward, offering exceptional precision and reliability that set new standards in the field.
– 1997
In 1997, the sensor business made a significant debut at the International Industrial Trading Exhibition, unveiling its cutting-edge sputtering thin-film pressure sensors to the Chinese market. This breakthrough technology marked a pivotal moment in the high-end pressure sensor industry, introducing a level of precision and durability previously unattainable.
– 2015
Following the success of developing sputtering thin-film pressure sensors, Mr. Wang continued to drive technological and craftsmanship innovation in the field of advanced sensors. In 2015, he invented the Direct Power Transmission torque sensor technology and secured a patent for it. This groundbreaking innovation resulted in the world’s first slip ring-free contact torque sensor, setting a new benchmark in sensor technology.
– 2015
Mr. Wang’s legacy extends beyond his pioneering work with sputtering thin-film technology, as he has also profoundly influenced the next generation of talented engineers. Under his mentorship, the focus of innovation has expanded, incorporating advancements such as micro-fused pressure sensors into production.
– 2019
During the COVID-19 lockdown, while many industries faced interruptions, Mr. Wang and his team remained resolutely committed to advancing sensor technology. Refusing to pause, he worked tirelessly on the front lines, focusing on innovation and driving progress in sensor development. His dedication was particularly evident as he brought a range of new products to the testing benches for BYD’s electric vehicles.
– 2021
VORTORQ® continues its legacy with the second generation, upholding its commitment to “Creating Value with Accuracy and Precision.” The company remains a source of pride through its innovative and forward-thinking approach, consistently pushing the boundaries of technology.
