The MS-VHT1200 High-Vacuum and Temperature Friction Wear Tester is designed to evaluate the friction and wear performance of various materials and films at high temperatures in a vacuum or special gas environments.     

 

This tester utilizes the ball-on-disk friction principle and incorporates a programmable temperature control system along with a vacuum pumping system. The sample is securely fixed on the test platform, which rotates at a specified speed in a high-temperature environment, creating friction between the ball and the coated surface.

 

The friction coefficient curve and temperature setting curve are generated by processing the friction signals from the sensor. These signals are amplified and converted through an A/D converter for analysis on the input computer.

 

By examining the changes in the friction coefficient and temperature setting curves, we can evaluate the friction performance and wear resistance of materials or thin films in vacuum or specialized atmospheres at high temperatures. Under specific loads and after a set duration or distance, the friction coefficient may change, indicating wear on the film. The wear volume is then determined using a weighing method.
